Does he have the sense of humor that would appreciate that joke?
I've tried "silly"/subversive gifts like that with my in-laws that were taken as sincere. There's nothing more awkward than giving a gag gift that's taken as sincere, and loved.
i would find it funny, but i would only do it for certain friends of mine. if i were on the "will he find this funny?" fence i'd probably lean toward no, just in case.

If I wear these Broad Street and Market-Frankford Line shirts, is anyone going to tell me how awesome they are? I feel like that's the only reason I want them.

the BSL is better, mostly because the MFL one is boring near the end and depressing near the beginning. but i don't ride the BSL very often. i think these'd be shirts i'd wear around my kids when i'm 45 and trying to show them how hard times were when i was 24 years old (which will be lying through the skin of my yellow country teeth)

i'm so bummed i can't watch the game tomorrow. i guess i'm just going to DVR and watch tomorrow night, win or lose, and follow along during work. but it just sucks working night work when they're playing through my whole shift. at least i'll be on day work the next two weeks so i can see them win the NLCS.

they are filming the commercial today. i am stuck in my bedroom because there are about 20 people downstairs, 4 of those party tents out back to cover the catered food, and just a lot of noise. i cant believe they go through this much work for something that is only 30 seconds long.
