I found a $20 bill in a window well once, that was something

My central A/C crapped out yesterday, and I lost high-speed Internet for most of the evening. It was getting close to Lord of the Flies up ins.

On those really hot days, like Sunday morning, my place is a blistering inferno. I pretty much just lie naked on my bed and sweat as if sweating were a vigorous activity

Don't feel bad. I woke up only slightly before you wrote this post, and its now 20 minutes before the game and I've done about as much work as you had by the time of this post.

Oh, and I'm like 12 years older than you and married and shit.

I've been at the office for 4 hours, though I did go for lunch with Mrs. Vulture for 45 minutes during that time.

So far, I've changed the dates on one syllabus, looked up used prices on some of the books I'm assigning, hired a student worker, made several posts on bsg, got my parking sticker, got my mail, read a couple magazine articles, talked to three or four students and am now in the middle of changing one of my courses. It sounds like a lot, but it's really not.

Saturday night I was out in Manayunk, wearing a gray button-down shirt and sweating more than I've ever sweated in my entire life. And I sweat a lot, possibly more than anyone I know. Obviously, this shirt is soaked as a result and everyone can tell because it's a gray shirt. My friends are making fun of me constantly for how much I'm sweating, and I'm mortified because I have no idea why I'm sweating so much. I mean, it was hot, but I was drenched and there were no signs of it stopping. I take the ribbing in stride all while wondering to myself what I can possibly do to solve this problem.

So after the bars let out, me and my friend are waiting outside for our buddy to get out of this cheesesteak place with an insanely long line, and I see these two girls walking by. Both are dressed appropriately for the occasion and the weather, except for one notable exception: One of them was wearing a red scarf around her neck. A FUCKING SCARF.

So as she's walking by I turn to my friend and I just go "A scarf? In the middle of August?" The girls keep walking across the street and I keep going on to my friend about how ridiculous it is to wear a piece of winter clothing when it is 100 million degrees outside. As I continue with my dumbfounded rant, the girl's friend walks back up to us and says, "Were you making fun of my friend?"

So I say, "No, I wasn't making fun of her. I was just saying how FUCKING RIDICULOUS it is to wear a scarf in the middle of August."

She looks at me and says, "Well, we're both more attractive than you'll ever be. And you're the sweatiest person I've ever seen!" And she storms off and I lose it laughing and continuing to yell about this dumb girl's scarf.
no offense but you are everything that's wrong with America

About the time of your post, Cablevision's internet went out on my block, just coming back now. So even if I was feeling industrious, I wouldn't have been able to work.

I've actually done a little editing during the game, so I'm feeling a bit less sluglike.

On my 3rd syllabus. Changing all the dates is tedious.

So, I did some stuff, and it's 4:30, and everyone else has left for the day. I'm leaving too. But when I get home, I have to mow my yard. Which takes a lot of juice out of leaving early.

Ritz plain--not so much. Peanut butter and jelly on Ritz, or summer sausage and chedder on Ritz, yes, that would be heaven.
