Spent a week in the Adirondacks in this large cottage on a lake.
Nice location/setting, comfortable enough, but spiders everywhere, ugh!

Leslie Gudel's voice continues to get huskier with time.

By the time she's in her 60's, she's going to sound like one of those old ladies with a cigarette dangling from her mouth at all times.
Together we will win this game against the evil Space Yankees! Eat Fresh!

I watch, at most, 2 hrs of tv a day. 99% of that time is when I'm in bed trying to fall asleep. $170 a month for cable won't fly. Now to convince my roommate that we don't need all the bs that he insists upon.

Anyway, since we seem to be out of witnesses, I thought I'd drink a little.

My cousin just called me asking if I wanted to go golfing tomorrow. I haven't golfed probably in six years.

I wonder what the hell I'll shoot if I can get out of work.

we went to chima tonight. that place is the shiz. filet mignon wrapped in bacon. i would go to a benefit for the somali pirates if they served filet mignon wrapped in bacon.

So I just got off the phone with my wife, who informed me that the guys who came to drop off our new sleeper couch down into our lower living room area didn't bring pulleys or anything.

The one guy lifted it over the banister and lost control of it, shattering the marble lid of our fireplace, and breaking the other guy's foot.

So we are an hour into legal negotiations with this gentleman, via his cell phone at the hospital, and Crate and Barrel.

So do you guys your carry whatever book you're reading in your hand on the way to and fro work? For the last four years or so, I've limited myself to books that fit in my pocket (or be reading two at once, a larger one I kept at home and a smaller one for work) and that's gotten really tiresome. A "manpurse" is out of the question. Feel like I'm too old for backpacks and bringing a backpack for one book is dumb anyway.

Thinking about getting a briefcase just to carry my book. Maybe fill it out with an extra pair of undies and a tube of lipstick

I use a tote bag with arm strap. It's excessive but holds my lunch and a folder with the Phillies schedule etc

Yeah, I mean -- I feel bad that he dusted his foot but I didn't expect to have to hire a contractor after this couch drop-off.

Apparently he realizes he has to pay and is making calls. I guess our homeowner's insurance will help us, worst case?

I'm getting all this second hand on the phone in my office -- the last time my wife was this riled up, the Gallagher brothers were threatening retirement.

I would think you'd be fully compensated. Still sounds like a pain in the ass, though. Kill their families

Yeah, there's no way you should be out of pocket for any of this. C&B's insurance should handle everything.

Apparently the guy works for an independent truck owner with whom C&B contracts. He's talking to his boss about reimbursing us, but my wife is also talking to C&B.

This guy can't sue us, right? I'm guessing it's different then if -- sike, when -- my buddy falls down the stairs drinking.
