You may not remember Predator (or maybe it was PREDATOR) from the philliesphans.com days. A rather bizarre individual with a Larry Bowa obsession, a predilection towards using inappropriate emoticons in abundance, and a difficulty with spelling.

What would you say if I told you I actually met PREDATOR (and his wife) in person a few times? Believe it or not, I'm being 100% serious that I did.

Whu? I imagine him as some kind of male analogue to the Crazy Cat Lady from The Simpsons. Am I close?

They were actually (from what I could tell) very normal people. He was real calm and laid back, rather soft spoken. A nice guy. I'm not really sure where his online persona comes from, although he is a Vietnam vet so maybe there is some weird flashback thing going on or something.

New band, just had our first practice. It went better than I could have expected and we already have a few cover songs ready to go, more or less. Next practice is Friday. See you guys on the world tour.

I've flown in China (Guangzhou to Chongqing on Air China), so I can attest "Special Fear" is in fact accurate.

A coffee date was always a risk for me because an afternoon/evening cup posed about a 15% chance of a raging, unavoidable, sloppy dump within 20 minutes of the first sip.

Maybe go with decaf? Or a nice biscot' to settle the stomach.

I'm probably projecting here.
