Did you get a raise to go with the added responsibility?

I find out next week when the one partner in my company gets back from a triathlon in Europe that he's racing in. And no, I will not be making even close to enough to become a guy who does triathlons in Europe. Or even a guy who does a 5K in Wildwood, I'd imagine.

I just remembered this morning that Ricky Williams once played in the Phillies minor league system.

Is Under Armour paying people to put decals on their cars or are there really that many tool bags out there?

Surely you've seen all the cars with Sunoco/NASCAR stickers.

I think bumper stickers and non-essential decals (ie parking passes, that sort of thing) are a good indicator of a person being an idiot, but I've been seeing a ton of the Under Armour stickers around. Why would you pay to advertise for a company? It's not like the sticker does anything for you, although I understand they probably think it adds some sort of social cache, but it's different than a logo on clothes or any other real product that has value outside of the logo. In this case, you are solely paying for the logo and somehow buying into the idea that it represents you or whatever.....

Maybe I'm the dick here, but for stuff like this, I automatically assume the person is an idiot or d-bag.

Obviously, I've got no problem with that or any sports team in general. Or the school stickers, although I think they're lame. I'm really talking about the product advertisements.

Yes, but it's not necessary.

Use dental floss and tie a knot in the middle of the string. Work the knot from the inside of the mouth to the outside to remove the beefy goodness.

Indeed. He rattled around the lower reaches of the chain for four years, playing summers while he was in college. I think Piedmont (now known as "Lakewood") was the highest he got in pro baseball. A look at his Wikipedia page reminded me that he actually was plucked out of the organization in the Rule 5 draft in '98 or '99.

I was listening to some Baseball Today thing on EPSN and the one guy said he talked to Steve Phillips who said he would consider bringing over Korea's manager to his big league club if he were a GM. That is funny, well you know....

Who is good at college basketball? I don't know anything. Should I pick based on mascots?

Favorite colors; places you've lived; best nickname; best looking fans; smartest students.

There's really a myriad of ways to pick the teams to win. Only nerds actually know who the players are and how good the teams are.

A lot of people don't like bumper stickers. I don't mind bumper stickers. To me a bumper sticker is a shortcut. It's like a little sign that says 'Hey, let's never hang out.'
