I never really got the self-hating Catholic thing. I'm Catholic and pretty in love with myself, and also know plenty of self-hating Jews, Protestants, atheists, Muslims (just kidding, I don't know any Muslims), you name it.

Well, I think the Catholic thing is guilt more than self hating. I guess they're sort of related concepts, but there's a difference.
