This is Part 2 of 13 parts on YouTube from Esoteric Agenda. I don't really know who or what group is behind this, but its a fascinating collection of data points. I'm kind of surprised it hasn't been pulled dwon from YouTube yet. Even if it is "fantastical" or propoganda of another kind - I wouldn't think they'd want this kind of rhetoric reaching anyone.

One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.

I'm not sure why youtube would care. I don't understand one of the points on that video. It mentions the Civil War then something about the Declaration of Independence creating an uproar about slavery or something. While I don't doubt it played a part, I don't think they signed the declaration and thought "Oh man, this is gonna be trouble in 100 years"

On a random note, I've never read anything about Clinton being related to Taft, and Abe Lincoln's father was named Thomas Lincoln, not A.A. Springs

Lie:

On May 30th, Rush Limbaugh said he had heard a rumor that a tape exists of Michelle Obama using the word “Whitey” from the pulpit of Trinity United Church of Christ.
Truth:

No such tape exists. Michelle Obama has not spoken from the pulpit at Trinity and has not used that word.

I like how they lead with Rush, who said he heard a rumor that a tape exists, which isn't a "lie" unless lying means saying something that is true, instead of the Larry Johnson nutball who started the rumor. Larry Johnson is a Clinton supporter. It must be a lot more fun to blame everything on Republicans.

Is Obama Smearing Rush?

Actually, I guess the Obama people changed the wording on their website since this the Sun Times did this piece. They're still wrong. But they're less wrong.

Do you think it's responsible to spread wholly unsubstantiated rumors?

No. But how much stock can you put into a website called "Fight the Smears" when the very first item is demonstrably false?

I guess it's not a lie anymore. It's just dumb to call what Limbaugh said a lie. It's irresponsible, but it isn't a lie. The reason I even got into it in the first place was I read that thing from the Sun Times this weekend, and it pissed me off. Didn't realize he changed the website till afterwards.

Strong point.

Actually it still says this on the front of the "Fight the Smears" website: "LIE: Rush Limbaugh says a tape exists of Michelle Obama using the word “whitey” from the pulpit of Trinity United"

So I've reconvinced myself that I'm right, and that website is irredeemably full of crap.

How do you know it isn't a lie? Is there any proof that he heard this rumor? Maybe he made it up, which is very possible.
