Clinton way ahead in Ohio

Early yet, but Obama's got a ton of ground to make up there. He really needs to figure out how to start reaching Hispanic voters. Hillary even leads among 18-34 year olds.

Speaking of which, it's nice that I'm still in the youngest category, even if it's just for a couple more months...

High comedy on CNN. Former Clinton Press Secretary (Caputo?) telling Wolf Blitzer with a straight face that HRC deserves the Michigan and Florida delegates because she "won" those states.

Wolf counters by saying HRC can't really claim she "won" those states because a.) Obama and Edwards weren't on the ballot in Michigan and b.) All the candidates pledged not to campaign in Florida. Clinton lackey says that Obama shouldn't claim the caucus state delegates then since HRC didn't devote the money and resources towards caucus states like Obama did.

Does the HRC campaign really believe this? Do they expect the voters to believe it?

Early exit poll data for tonight...

In Maryland, McCain 57 percent, Huckabee 31 percent.

In Virginia, the second wave of data shows an extremely close race, less than a percentage point between McCain and Huckabee.

Via NRO.

Also, Drudge is saying Obama is winning 2-1 in MD and VA, and 3-1 in DC according to exits. Let's see how those shake out.

That was the quickest call of the year...polls close at 7PM, networks call VA for Obama at 7PM. Wasn't that the state that was supposed to be semi-competitive?

That's not ironic, by the way. He's really clever. I wouldn't vote for him, but I'd probably watch his talk show...

It's funny, I think my "Who do I want to have a beer with?" rankings among the four surviving candidates run exactly the opposite of my preference for them as potential Presidents.

VA exit polls are interesting.

Obama wins with women pretty handily, and also with latinos, and nearly splits the white vote. In a primary, not a caucus. So now what do the pundits have to talk about?

People on CNN keep talking about VA like McCain is going to win. Let's see how Hampton Roads starts rolling in. K?

I feel disrespected that CNN didn't exit poll DC.

Also, if the election returns I'm seeing on the VA State Board of Elections website are right, and we only had like 4k people vote in Fairfax County in our primary, we should just stop this election right now. I give up. Jesus, that better be wrong. Are you shitting me?

Edit: They called VA for McCain.

Ever? How is this possible? Most humans can survive for only a few days without water. I'm highly skeptical of your claim.
Signature? Why do they need me to sign here? I don't think I'm comfortable with that.

I wonder when the first DC results will start trickling in. This is a great demonstration of how well run my city is.

Chuck Todd was breaking down delegate numbers on MSNBC and said that by his rough calculations, HRC would have to win about 63% of the vote in TX, OH, and PA to catch Obama in the pledged delegate count. EDIT: That's assuming Obama wins Hawaii (likely) and Wisconsin (tossup?)

If I'm HRC, I don't leave those three states the next three/four weeks. That's what it will come down to for her.

You know it's good cause I want to punch her in the face.

Also, CNN apparently didn't ask the race question on the exit poll, so I can't point that out to piss everyone off.

I wonder if blacks will find it harder and harder to win major political office with the number of hispanics in the country growing.
