I haven't been this excited since the Phillies forced Game 7 of the 1993 World Series with that 5-run 7th inning.

It was so exhilerating, they looked like they were dead, and then BAM...Lenny hits the 3-run shot, and they tack on two more. It was a miracle. Everybody was talking about the Blue Jays' collapse. And Game 7...

No, wait. I started celebrating that victory before it was official. The Phillies didn't win Game 6. They lost. Being up 6-5 after 8 innings in a baseball game means next to nothing.

Just like being up 1 game after 160 in a baseball season means next to nothing.

Stop with the third-world country comments, or the playoff discussions -- the Phillies haven't won anything yet. That Mets' shirt may sell yet.

Hopefully, tomorrow, I'll be singing a different tune. But for right now - the magic number is 2, not 0.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think it's pretty safe to assume that what we say here doesn't impact the games tomorrow.

Charlie did say before the game "He won't throw 115 tonight." I forget where I read that.

if the phillies play SD if SD is the WC then Phils are the home team because they are division winners. WC can never be the home field advantage team.
