It's internet slang everywhere.

The "p" is right next to the "o" on keyboards, so when people in games are trying to quickly type "owned", it becomes "pwned."

And it spread.


I'm not sure it's internet slang everywhere. I think for your generation it is. Teh, Meh, pwned, o rly and all of that stuff is common in certain circles. But it I didn't hang around this here board, I'd have most likely never heard of any of this stuff.
