correct me if i'm wrong, but if you drop something (say, a bat head), doesn't that mean it goes straight down? (gravity and such)

My head hurts. This is not a good way to start the series. At least we are out of the fourth although giving up 3 more runs

The pitching has been horrible lately. If not for the offense carrying the team, things would be ugly. And against decent pitching, which the Mets have, the Phils are in trouble.
