Unacceptable. Yet this #$!&@ happens (maybe not to this extent) all the time. Happened under Laviolette, Berube and Hak. Giroux is the constant. He can't let his team be this lethargic after a break. Canes could have had 10 tonight
I'm sorry you even had to sit through THAT much of it. What an absolute shit show last night. It is childish but I think I would like to see Hak go full-on ape shit on these refs some night. The two-minute call on Stempniak was a fucking joke; targets the head with his elbow, makes full contact AND the puck was away. Should have been a five-minute major and a match penalty, if the league is really serious about reducing head injuries. Then Manning gets cross-checked in the face by Skinner right in front of the ref, which directly leads to a goal (since Manning was hunched over in the corner bleeding from his nose; although it didn't help that four Flyers stood in front of Mason doing nothing while Skinner took his shot). No call.
I am not saying either play had anything to do with the loss last night, because the Flyers were awful in every aspect of the game, but some consistent officiating would be nice. Guys without orange and white jerseys do commit penalties on occasion.
