this team isn't going to set the world on fire but and it's less than a month in, but maybe they're not the worst team in baseball and maybe they have a few pieces and maybe it's not going to be the next decade until they're competitive again?

After 0-4 I admit to going a bit kneejerk for myself and said we might not win 60. 10-6 stretches are more fun. I think Mackanin is the perfect person to be managing this process.

Records after 20 games the last few years:
2015: 8-12 (never to see .500 again)
2014: 10-10 (made it to .500 at 15-15. then pfffft.
2013: 9-11 (surged above .500 at 49-48 before going 4-21)
2012: 9-11 (finished at .500. Yay?)
2011: 14 and freakin' 6.
