Yeah, it was a different story

But the Daily Mail is sorta like the NY Post but a lot worse

Watching the boy meets world where Shawn dresses as a girl for a school paper story. Winds up going out with this popular jock. Totally unbelievable that this jock would buy it.

It's not the high point of journalism - but in cases where the "proper" press tells you little, the tabloids are not afraid to publish rumor and speculation. Gotta be a tough call for TV and major papers to wait for official confirmation.

You have your finger on the problem.

In cases like #germanwings, they are useful (often) in printing stuff that the mainstream is too timid to run.

But the rest of the time, they make stuff up as though they are part of the Obama admin.

And it's hard to tell sometimes if it's actual news or made up stuff.

Question time!

Say a traffic signal on your way to work has malfunctioned and reverted to blinking yellow and red lights, your direction has flashing yellow. Do you:

A) Treat the intersection as a four-way stop sign?

B) Drive carefully through the intersection as only flashing red lights are to be treated as a stop sign?

C) Stare dumbfounded at the traffic signal and each driver in turn while traffic slowly backs up behind you as society has clearly broken down, IS NOTHING REAL ANYMORE?!

anybody take ambien? will my primary care guy just give me a script if i ask?

im going to thailand monday and coming back the following thursday at about 10pm. Unfortunately 10pm is about 10am thailand time so I'm worried i'm not sleeping that night. normally i wouldn't give a shit but i have a job interview at 1pm-4pm friday (or 1-4am thailand time). i really dont want to not sleep all night just to get tired around noon so i want literally one ambien to have as a backup to take the night before. i asked my doctor buddy to get me one but he's on vacation and can't phone it in. stupid DEA.

Legally "B", but "A" is the way it usually flushes out, unless the intersection has an obviously dominant road, in which case the dudes at the flashing red should just turn around and go home.

I'll take a Unisom occasionally, if insomnia has hit me for a night or two in a row. It's OTC and seems to work pretty well for me if I take it an hour or so before I want to fall asleep.

i've used those and they're not bad, just not sure how well they'll work if my body thinks its 11am. yeah, that's my other concern but i figured that stuff is just magic and knocks you out for 8 hours regardless of time. possibly a bad assumption.

Get some barbituates in Thailand. Great sleep, no drowsy hangover, no hallucinations.

I agree with woodster, I wouldn't go with anything. It's much easier to explain why you're drowsy (I JUST FLEW BACK FROM THAILAND AND BOY ARE MY ARMS TIRED) than it is to go through an interview hyper and jittery.

Maybe go the opposite route and get coked up so you don't have to sleep?
