yes and no....they've added a fuck ton of new mechanics and introduce new mechanics every set but they've gotten significantly better about wording the cards so that they make sense and simplifying some of the rules that conceptually made no sense (instants vs interrupts, damage using the stack)

Was going to ask to postpone a meeting this afternoon due to not wanting to drive in snow/wanting to watch the Liverpool game/not sure if I would have enough time this morning getting done pre-meeting crap, but another person postponed first.

So I get to avoid the stuff I don't want to do and watch soccer and not look like a lazy piece of shit all at the same time. Big win to start the day.

The Net neutrality vote passed 3-2, so the big online companies won't get preferred access to our internets. yay guys

ISPs will be classified as public utilities (like phone companies) and will be subject to a set of regulations that ensure all consumers get fair access to their services. ISPs would be banned from paid prioritization deals, though they can set aside fast lanes for some exceptions, including public services, like remote heart monitoring.

heard it will stifle innovation, edbot:

Michael Powell, a former Republican FCC chairman who now runs the National Cable and Telecommunications Association, warned that consumers would almost immediately "bear the burden of new taxes and increased costs, and they will likely wait longer for faster and more innovative networks since investment will slow in the face of bureaucratic oversight."

I don't even sort of understand the GOP complaints. Telcom/ISPs tried to CHANGE the rules and now is warning everyone that this dangerous new trend is going to ruin the internet?
