I wouldn't hate Rinaldo as much if he added anything other than hits to the team. His dumb penalties are never going to stop, and he has 1 assist in 33 games.

The fourth line played so much better when he was scratched. There are other guys who are worthless on the team, but Rinaldo has to add the least to the team out of anyone.

I don't understand why you think they are pussies and how that has anything to do with them winning or losing. The top guys like Voracek and Simmonds and Giroux are all the same from last year. Are you saying they are missing Rosehill?

not so much hitting as it is standing up for each other. they let teams take runs at giroux and voracek. laughton gets concussed on a big hit and nobody does a thing about it. i disagree that simmonds is the same guy from last year. i don't think he has the same edge.

I feel like this is mostly true of this season but he does have three fighting majors in their last seven games.

With the younger players that are going to come up in the next season or two, there has to be some guys on the lineup that are going to stand up and not allow them to be run over by their opponents. While not totally advocating the creation of a new Schultz/Kelly/Saleski line, there have to be some players in the lineup that will protect their team mates. The trucking of Laughton on Wednesday night was simply the latest time that a Flyer was run over with no reaction by the team. Schultz got planted in the Bruins game for making a hit and the Flyers just went into the corner and wet their pants. A top Flyer is going to seriously injured if this non retaliation stuff isn't halted. There is such a thing as a good penalty to take.

The Flyers are 12th in fighting majors in the league. They are sixth in hits. I am not sure what you expect, but teams are not taking any more runs this year compared to last year. I remember Schenn got boarded a couple of times last year, like twice in a couple of weeks. I guess Rosehill/Rinaldo didn't do their job stopping that.

Remember when Neal took a run at a few players a few years back in the Penguins series? This stuff is always going to happen no matter who is on the team.

The Red Wings have 3 fighting majors, the Blackhawks have 7. I guess their players must be getting run at every night.
