The team has no identity. It doesn't skate fast enough with skill to be a speed team. It isn't big enough to be a tough team. It just rots.

Also, a lot of the players just suck.

Not really. Florida, Toronto, and the Isles all seem to be better than us after years of languishing at the bottom. The teams directly in front of us seem to be the group that we can compete with (Buffalo, Columbus, New Jersey). We aren't good. It's sad. It will be a few years before we are competing for a Cup.

You thought this team was going to be one of the worst 5 in the NHL? I am not surprised they are on the outside of the playoff hunt, but to be where they are is surprising.
