At the very least you could cash out a chunk of the winnings so you're ahead no matter what and decide not to buy back in if what you leave in the pot ends up being lost. I think that would be my play, but unfortunately, I haven't won thousands at FanDuel so do not know for sure how I would react.

Good points. My first reaction was "hookers and blow", but my 17-year-old son was sitting next to me watching every game we could, counting down the outs, praying Giancarlo didn't hit a 3-run bomb in the 9th and cost me half my winnings. So I would have had to get him some, too.

Basically decided to cash out $5K to cover some upcoming expenses that are outside the normal budget, and keep the rest in so I don't always feel like I'm a bad week away from being done with FanDuel.
sounds like you could really earn that world's greatest dad mug.

I was furious there was no million dollar to first place NBA championship. I started baseball just recently at FD and DK. Almost had my entry to the DFBC last night with a Twins and White Sox stack but got overtaken by Puig and Van Slyke people

Was at a basketball tournament all morning, JUST missed getting a lineup in. Had Jacob Turner and many guesses at Padres and Rockies lineups, plus Jose Altuve. Hope they all blow.

I stacked the first 6 hitters in the Marlins lineup but somehow still couldn't win the Draftkings 500,000 dollar showcase qualifier. Fucking left out Ozuna and got 0 from my other 2 guys.

Has anyone thought of making a proprietary predictive model for baseball? It seems like baseball would be a really easy sport to model because of the discrete nature of it. You could make a monte carlo simulation based on the probability estimates for every possible event of a batter vs pitcher, adjusting for various things and probably make a ton of money in these leagues and/or gambling. I have one for basketball and it was a lot harder to create than what I would assume a baseball model would be. I may have to work on this when I get a chance

Seattle is starting 5 LH hitters against Brett Oberholtzer tonight. He's been bad this year, but is tough on LH hitters.

Might have to re-think Vogelsong against the Twins.

Seattle doesn't hit RHP very well, and they're 12-18 against them. Going with Shoemaker against Seattle in Seattle.
