CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Phillies have agreed to a deal with Bobby Abreu.
Abreu, who turns 40 in March, will presumably receive a minor league deal with a spring training invite. He didn't play professionally last season, but the Phillies were encouraged by his performance in the Venezuelan Winter League and view him as a potential left-handed bench bat.

He's killing it in the postseason in Domincan League. Just went 3 for 4 with two walks and 6 rbi's in Game 1 yesterday including the walkoff rbi single. clutch.
