What do you mean when you say you would have blown it up 2 years ago? In March 2011, this team was the best team in baseball about to embark on a 102 win season. Are you saying that, coming of the 2010 NLCS loss to San Francisco, you would not have signed Cliff Lee (2 years and 3 months ago) and you would have looked to trade some of the veterans at that time?
Agree with hk. I assumed Mike meant "at the 2010 trade deadline," which seems even more outlandish. Start swapping older veterans for solid prospects between the 2010 and 2011 seasons? OK. Blow it up? Come on.
