went to lunch at sports bar (in northern virginia) yesterday and they were showing a nats classic game against the phils at rfk. i was actually at that one- bell and popo hit bombs late to tie but we lost. made me sad- those were the halcyon days, yo.

RFK was the worst, only went there for 1 game, but it was the 5+ hour rain delay game they played near the end of the season that they had to get in

I guess the plan was and is let's see how Howard does. If he ends up sucking what good would it have done to sign a choo anyway. If Howard regains some semblance of his former self and some other things break right they can then try to upgrade further at the trade deadline.

I think this is the last real ride for the the old team. While you may not like it, Amaro is doing the right thing to not buy and add to payroll with this squad. After this year, add mining we don't win, it will be time to blow it up and rebuild making next years FA class irrelevant.
