Chase Utley knows the cartilage in his knees is shot. He knows that the chances of coming back from microsurgery surgery are grim. As you would expect of any professional athlete -- but particularly Utley -- he's trying anything he can to play again, in this case exercises which will improve strength and flexibility around the knee, presumably to ease pain and stress occasioned by shot cartilage. Chase is fighting the good fight. Chase is losing.

Can he start the good fight in January so that he's ready for April at least?
