Yep, thats the issue. Buying Podolski seems like a no brainer.

We're in the same spot we were in 2008-2009. We were at risk to lose the top 4 spot and we bought Arshavin, who was considered a world class talent at the time. His performances were uneven, but he contributed a lot to our play and helped us stay in the top 4.

I know the spuds will come back to Earth, the Chavs look vulnerable, and Liverpool is a non factor, but we really need to strengthen the squad.

like i said earlier, avb is a good coach, but its pretty clear that squad is completely unsuited for the type of football he wants to play. I cant wait to see the clearout this summer. I expect Drogba, Torres, Lampard, and maybe even Terry will be off.
