Obviously the site finally realized they had sorted SO/9 incorrectly. THE NEW TOP TEN ZOMG!

Phillies Phighting for 1st!
The previous post had a statistic that was put in incorrectly. Rather than rewriting everything, I will just relist them and when we update the stats, it will be correct.

1) Cole Hamels

2) Roy Halladay

3) Shaun Marcum

4) Tommy Hanson

5) Anibal Sanchez

6) Jair Jurrjens

7) Clayton Kershaw

8) Kyle Lohse

9) Jeff Karstens

10) Cliff Lee

Maybe we could get them to throw in Stanton if Rube added cash to the deal. I seriously wonder how dim that organization is as on the surface they seem stupid.

The whole McKeon thing will backfire like an old Ford Aspire.

The Jack McKeon hiring by the Marlins reminds me of when the Sixers hired Chris Ford after Randy Ayers flamed out after half a season: they brought Ford on basically to try to "bad cop" Iverson into submission. Replace Ford with McKeon and Iverson with Ramirez and you have nearly an identical situation.

Maybe Bautista sold his soul to the same Devil that Lidge sold his to for his perfect 2008 season.

Every once in a while Bill James gives out some great info while answering questions on the "Hey Bill" section of his site:

Hey Bill, Am I reading between the lines correctly that the teams collect a lot of otherwise non-public information on the prospects' arm usage history, but never mention it publicly in regards to injuries or anything else? Do they share it with other teams? Or is there an NFL-like 'combine' that collects the data for all teams? Or are you saying they take extensive pictures of the arm in advance of any injury? take Thanks.

There are considerable resources devoted to this area on many different fronts, and that's as much as I can say about it.

I've suspected that teams did this kind of work because it just makes so much sense that they don so.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can
