They're selling magazines, not giving out awards. Cliff Lee is the story. And they're not doing Halladay on the cover two years in a row. I figured you knew this when you said "I get it" but I guess I had to spell it out.

lee would still have been on the cover.

halladay is the best pitcher of this generation. i think hes more popular in philadelphia than cliff lee.

and all 5 of them are on the cover. i dont think halladay in the 2nd row and lee in the first row is going to prompt more sales.

if you're a phillies fan, youre buying it. if you're a baseball fan who buys every SI baseball preview, you're buying it.

halladay should be in front.
