If they expect Rollins to be gone for much more than 15 days, I could see them promoting Valdez, the better def. at SS. Not Ransom though

But Ransom doesn't have options, so he'd still have to be DFA'ed RT @FrankKlose They still have a 40-man spot left

@CMSBMatty Yeah, Ransom and Valdez would have to be exposed to waivers on their trips back down. This is why the Phils signed Castro.

Logic: if Werth is out 5-6 days w/ no DL, Mayberry would make sense as RHB on bench. Polly can play SS for a few innings @jjacobsohn

On 2nd thought, maybe I'm not almost positive it will be Mayberry. With Bocock on the 40, it's probably him. @CMSBMatty

Though Bocock is def. the other option, since he's 40 man and can play SS. Depends if they're comfortable w/ Polanco as emergency SS.

Almost positive the move is Mayberry. Could be in line-up tom. vs. S. Olsen @CMSBMatty You mean like Brian Bockock being called up?

Not expecting anything 'til 5 or 6 at earliest. Roster move logistics take time. RT @dochammy No MRI news on J-Roll yet?

Still, the naysayers will have to be persuaded. Baseball America, a respected surveyor of minor league talent, recently announced their top 100 major league prospects and the Phils had but two, lefty hurlers Cole Hamels and Giovany Gonzalez. All well and good, but unless my instincts betray me, they will have to one day apologize for the oversight in not placing Mike Costanzo, Jr. on this list. His pedigree is too impressive, the synchronicity of it all too transparent.
