He's so good that Arizona's TV interviewed him after the game

Some folks were disappointed we had to settle for Lee.

I really, really hope they talk long term deal with him this winter. No need to do something dumb, he's going to be cheap next year, in what should be the apex of his peak, so we're in the driver's seat either way.

Whats funny is, people compare him (for obvious reasons) to the Sabathia/Unit type transitions to the NL. The big difference is, we don't have to ride him like a rented mule like the Brewers did with Sabathia just to squeak into the playoffs. And we don't have an incentive to, since he'll be here next year. We took a strong team in good position for the division and strengthened it, both for this year and next.

I like the fact too that his four starts have all been against non divisional opponents meaning that they'll all be getting him for the first time during the September blitz

The AZ broadcast last night compared Lee versus CC, and Lee's first four games with the Phils is better statistically and numerically than CC's first 4 with the Brewers. They both had 4 wins, and that is really all that matters.

In his 4 starts with the Phillies, Lee's BABIP is .219. He's just lucky.

I just bought tickets to the September 15 game against the Nationals in hopes that the rotation stays lined up for Lee to pitch that night. Also because it's one of the few games left that is not sold out.
