I can't tell if that's a sarcastic joke or not, but it's double elimination, not round robin. Panama is out, no more games. The Netherlands will play DR again and the winner advances with the loser being eliminated -- the winner will then play Puerto Rico for seeding purposes.

ROUND 1
POOL A (Tokyo)
Korea 2-1 (POOL WINNER)
Japan 2-1

China 1-2 (ELIMINATED)
Chinese Taipei 0-2 (ELIMINATED)

Perhaps not a big deal but Korea is actually 3-1 (beat Taiwan, China and Japan once each, lost one game to Japan).

Yep, winner advances and will play a game against the USA for seeding purposes. The loser is out.

Space cadets appear to have it in hand. Gritty Mike Costanzo had himself a double, though.

so, when does bert blylevin turn this into a fulltime job?
if you don't know what the wrestlers are trying to do--how certain moves and holds are supposed to work and so forth, then it might just look like too sweaty guys rolling around on a mat.

Oh. I'm replying to a Steagles post. Um. OK.

Scoring a run looks to be a big ask from the Dutch.

So, is the D.R. just not hitting or is the Netherlands pitching just that good? I haven't had the opportunity to watch any of the Netherlands games.

pitchers are throwing strikes, for the most part, and the DR just can't get anyhting going.
