2009 Draft Thread

Postby PSUPhilliesPhan » Wed Jun 10, 2009 12:35:50

We're making progess, only a 2 round overdraft this time:

"He projects to be the first Northwest senior off the board, likely around the seventh round—much higher than when the Giants selected him last year with their 36th-round pick."

From BA's write up on Von Rosenberg:

"He did work in the low 90s more regularly late in the spring, and some area scouts prefer him to Colvin. Both players have scholarships from Louisiana State that they'll likely turn down when they go in the first two rounds of the draft."

Because one year in the GCL is really all you need to judge a 19-year old. Really.
