I still tend to think the Flyers management is TOO impetuous rather than not aggressive enough. I'm not giving up on Schenn or Coots. That was the mistake we made with JVR. Schenn and Coots are still way way young. I think we found our goalie so there's a positive. I hope both Laughton and Ghost make the team next year.

I don't think you'll find anyone that will argue with you about them being too aggressive.

Laughton and Ghost really should spend the season on the Phantoms, or at least most of it. No reason to have Laughton play on the 4th line on the big team when he can play on the 1st or 2nd line in Phantoms. If Kimmo comes back, there is really no room for Ghost next year at this point when you will have Streit, Kimmo, Coburn, Grossmann, Schenn, Gus, MacDonald.

Even if they trade Coburn, I can't imagine they aren't going to get a defensemen at some point.

What's there to give up on on Coots? I think everyone likes him.

I'm willing to pull the plug on Schenn though.

Is Joni Pitkanen ready yet
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

He is one of their most attractive players/contracts. Homer calls a team and says we want "X" Defensemen, then Coots name is going to brought up first. What other players that are NHL ready have as much trade value for this team?

It's easy to say trade Coburn, trade Schenn Bro's, but their value isn't as much as Coots should be.

Oh for sure, but 'giving up' means that we think he's no good. If we trade for a premier player, I'd guess Coots is almost definitely gone.
