It was an inside joke and a pretty funny one for a while but I think we have actually gotten to a point where we can make it happen. For realsies (well at least I think the idea of actually having it outweighs the joke at this point).

Look we have the damn trophy design, some categories, and a member who may be crazy enough to put it together. Although it may prove a tough chore for just one person....maybe a nomination process in each category would help where everyone could chip in?

The first year the Academy Awards were presented there were only 11 categories, so there's no reason why we can't start small and then grow larger as time goes on. My suggestions for categories would be:

Woody's best avatar (original)

Woody's best avatar (adapted)

Best thread started by Woody

Best thread in which Woody appears in a supporting role

Best Woody thread hijack

Best Woody catchphrase

Best Woody vacation photo

Best failed Woody project (special limp Woody statuette)

Best Woody child

Best child that looks like Woody but, hey, his "Dad" loves him so everything's copacetic

Best female poster, or maybe also Woody

Best statistical analysis expanding our understanding of the game of baseball and the evaluation of its players for the benefit of the entire board or, failing that, smart comment by Woody.
