Unruly celebration

I heard some scant reports of unruly celebration, which I cannot understand, but I saw this posted elsewhere...

haha that guy was insane
Why not just go storm Normandy and get shot in the face while you're at it
Why not get a plumbing license and run around high on shrooms stealing peoples' pocket change

Why would a Rays fan (according to the title of the link) climb up a traffic light after his team just lost the World Series?

I couldn't believe no one fell off of those Broad Street poles while I was out there. People are nuts.

Beats me. Maybe he was getting away from the Phillies fans. You have to admit that is funny. Whoever was throwing the bottles has great accuracy.

i could have done without the F the Rays chants and show us your boobs - but other than that it was awesome. cops were awesome too - they just let people go nuts and only stepped in if there was something really messed up - great job.

i want to know if they actually tipped that news van, they cut from it on television just before they got the momentum going....

then asked ed rendell to make a plea not to destroy philadelphia

then at one point they showed an overheard shot and there were like 2 or three bonfires going on...

the only thing i could think, Man i wish i was there....

My brother said the Wok was crazy last night- girls showing their tits there as well.*

Kids have it so easy nowadays. From a sports standpoint, I used to have to go to the Preakness to see random college chicks show their boobies and now they are flashing them any time a group of 20 or more gather.

*Edit: After it was announced that the Phillies had won...

I saw people tear down one of those bus stop shelters and break into the Robinson Luggage Store on Broad, but I thought the property damage was generally kept to a minimum.

Hey, did anyone else see Greenman climb a pole on Broad and Sansom? I don't think it was Charlie Day but it was still pretty awesome.

They were just talking about this guy on WIP. Whoever was talking (a producer maybe) made it clear that it was a Phils fan and he also said that when he dropped that everybody caught him and he crowd-surfed for a block or so.

I saw Greenman on top of a bus shelter.

Did anyone see the fire engine that was coming down Broad? There must have been a hundred people on it.

That fire engine was nuts. So far today I've tried to describe it to people as a moving Bosch and a giant caterpillar with people for hair.

It seems like a bunch of us were within a block of each other for a good portion of last night. bsgftw!

I was actually looking out for some of the familiar faces from here I've seen in pictures. But then I saw a bar owner in the street holding up a sign that said $3 Whiskeys and that was that.

Other cool things from last night: the group of people dancing around the guys drumming on the street, the dude playing "We Are The Champions" on his guitar and the Fuck Joe Carter sign and chants. What a night.
