I'm under 25, and I won the Super Bowl this year, so I'm confused.

Seriously. I don't remember squat from '83 or '80, so this makes it all that much better. Absolutely amazing.

I'm 35, so I remember bits. But this is different; this is better.

This one, we earned with all those years in between.

I guess it's time to go to bed. What a night...

you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

I'm also 31. I don't remember a thing about 1980 because my parents aren't sports fans. I was 3 but I wish they would have made me watch the World Series Clockwork Orange style. Because then I would have remembered it as it happened. It's all good though. I remember 1993 vividly and have been a very hardcore Phillies phan since 1991 (I think it was the Fregosi hiring that perked my ears up). I was such an optimist through the late 90s when I was in college at Rutgers...all the New York baseball fans just shook their dismissive heads at me. The Bowa years brought more wins than losses which was a step up. Then Manual and Gillick brought near misses and asked us to be patient while trading awesome Abreu (I wonder how he feels now?). Gotta give Gillick credit, he kept fiddling with this team until Stairs was the last piece in the puzzle on the last day possible. Ok, now I'm rambling...I will continue at another time in another thread. Bedlam rules!

I remember my dad driving me around in the car and beeping the horn and stuff in 1980, but that was in the Harrisburg area and we were the only ones doing it. The only thing that championship had on this one was the fact it was the first, after nearly a century of futility. Plus, that series with the Astros was ridiculously great.

But now I'm in Philly, was at the game, and got to mob the streets with my fellow fans. It was fucking glorious and I'll never forget it. And as an important side, I really wanted my grandfather to see another championship. My thoughts immediately went to him when Lidge got the last out and I called him from the car.

I was in diapers when the Sixers won in 83, and for awhile there, I didn't think we'd win another until I was wearing diapers again.

Tonight was absolutely amazing.
