We'll be there if things (Kendrick, Lidge, Gordon, finding a 5th starter) work out right. The pitching looks less settled than I hoped a month ago. Looks like we are in the 86 - 90 win talent range.
We now know that Amaro really is running the Phillies. He and Monty seem to have ignored the committee.

Yes. I have no faith, and only a pinch of hope.

It'll take more than a mythical greek to save this rotation from hades.

You're correct. What we really need here is orpheus to hit the high notes on his lyre. Sweet music 'll have the muts of hell (queens) snoozing, and inspire our guys to paint the corners with deft artistry.

Just don't look. Life's easier when you're not petrified.

I'm cautiously optimistic with the understanding that our rotation is A)barely good enough even if they stay healthy B)incapable of dealing with the inevitable 2-3 injuries for a sustained period of time.

I'm kind of excited about this team all of a sudden. No real reason, other than yesterday was perfect baseball weather (clear, 80s) and today wasn't too shabby either (clear, low 70s).

I go through this every season. My normal cooly rational and analytic self just doesn't seem to care about baseball, leaving the crazy bipolar self in charge. Oh well. Another roller coaster ride awaits.
