I don't think there is a way to distinguish in sorting.

I created slightly different icons, but ones that aren't distracting - a darker burgundy for hot topics that aren't read, and a whiteish color for hot topics that are read.

The Mrs just needs time to get them up.

We're also working on making the top third of the screen a bit tighter (smaller toolbar icons, better header arrangement).

Something needs to be done with respect to the logic behind most interesting and least interesting threads. A thread could have 1 post and 100 views and be on the most interesting list, but it is, in fact, the least interesting. I need better logic there!

Oh, and how about a most interesting and least interesting poster list. This is derived by the number of replies (not them if possible) to threads that they created.
