Reality TV, sports broadcasting, the Bush Presidency, pr0n... it seems our culture really enjoys watching amateurs do things that used to be the purview of professionals.

So why don't people watch the devil rays?

lack of national television exposure unless they're playing the yankees?

And stu tells me that I go out of the way to make things more non funny

I like how baseball tonight trys to 'introduce' little known musicians during their 'diamond cuts'

Except for Wolf and Schilling, it's not a good year for ex-Phils starters:

Padilla: 2-8, 6.45 ERA, 1.63 WHIP
Tejeda: 4-6, 6.28 ERA, 1.6+ WHIP
Millwood: 2-4, 6.69 ERA, 1.84 WHIP
Milton: 0-4, 5.17 ERA, 1.53 WHIP
Silva: 3-6, 3.86 ERA, 1.35 WHIP
Wolf: 7-3, 3.68 ERA, 1.24 WHIP
Schilling: 5-2, 3.91 ERA, 1.38 WHIP

Besides Padilla, Millwood, Tejeda, Lofton and Byrd, it appears that Texas also has Matt Kata on their 25-man roster. No wonder they stink... :)

Ortiz hit a line drive to right field. Abreu broke in, stopped, and then tried to smother the ball, which hit in front of him. The ball got past him and rolled to the warning track, scoring a run, with Ortiz ending up on third.

He does have a couple of hits tonight and stands on first with a single, Damon on third, A-Rod with a full count and one out. 5-4 Red Sox.

A-Rod pops up right in front of second base.

That's three multi-hit games in June, which wouldn't be so surprising except he only had four in all of May.
