"Johnny Cakes" has one of the best Tony/Anthony Jr. scenes. 2:05 on.

around minute 3, I start to lose it.

"You sit there with your FUCKING bowl of ice cream and say it's your favorite scene of all time."
"You make me wanna cry."

This show, man. Goddamn, I love it.

It was the little things like that that made the show. I remember Bobby getting all bent out of shape one time about Paulie proclaiming a song as "his" song

wow, great scene. I watched season 1 in college, and then by season 2 I didn't have cable and spent all my money on food and partying. I do remember NY Times declaring season 2 as a major, major cultural event. I saw episodes here an there but I've never watched it all the way through. Oddly enough I still am confident in saying it's the best show ever.

I started watching it sequentially recently. Just got the the ennui episode where nothing really happens in season 2 - it was entitled "House Arrest." The episode was richer than usual in imagery, symbolism and references. They referenced Marshall Mcluhan at one point - I had to pause it cause I had no idea who that was. I googled it and found this bad ass site that breaks down Sopranos episodes in really compelling ways.

I am going to watch it all again, and yeah season 2 was the greatest thing I ever witnessed as far as acting/entertainment. Can't wait for the next show to come around that captures me like that. I didn't event pick it up till season 6 originally which was dumb but I was 13 when the show started. I binged on it then all the way through when I had the time.
Do it again!

Along those lines, I loved this scene about Tony's preferred choice of orange juice.

season 3, episode 2 the CGI with Livia

her hair was different every time the cut to her and at times parted from left to right and others from right to left

how could a perfectionist like Chase allow such inconsistencies? I need to read a thoughtful blog post to further convince me Tony just viewed his living mother as a series of bad memories and critical criticisms instead of a real human being.

"They didn't have flattops in Ancient Rome!!!!"

I liked how a game of Scrabble convinced Meadow that Jackie Jr. was a loser.
