Yeah it has shot up in the last 18 months or so. Think the Sunday's $5.75 now.

I cancelled my Sunday sub about a month ago. It was hit or miss if we’d get it and when we did get it it wasn’t coming until after lunch. On top of that my online access didn’t work a lot of time.

Oops. I signed up months ago for a free trial becasue there was an article I really wanted to read, and haven't looked at it since. I guess I should probably read it or cancel, and this doesn't seem like the best time to read it.

This has not only smoothed over, but I'm getting random Inquirers, NYT, and WSJ during the week for free too!

My local paper, the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, just doubled their weekday newsstand price from 50 cents to $1, and combined the Saturday and Sunday editions into one Sunday edition, raising that price as well. Because I can get ALL the other news elsewhere at least a day before it prints, the only reason I even get the paper is local sports and obituaries. And with no local live sports going on right now...

This is a lot more rural area than Philly, or even Reading or Harrisburg. It's all relative, but I guess it was inevitable.

On Twitter, The LA times apologized for a history of racism, which made almost no one on Twitter happy.
