how do you lose OnDemand?

I have Tivo, and I can still watch OnDemand stuff. And I don't have a DVR

Really? Is that because of the card? I heard you lost access to OnDemand programming if you weren't using one of their boxes.

I have a Comcast HD box. I don't have cable cards, and I don't have a Comcast DVR. But I can still watch all the OnDemand stuff

So your cable goes through the HD box and then the Tivo? Then the OnDemand should work. If you use a Tivo with a Cablecard, then you don't get onDemand.

I don't subscribe to any premium channels and don't ever order pay-per-view, so onDemand is not a factor for me.

My setup is a Tivo series 2 box with a comcast he box. You can record hd channels but it records in standard def.

you can do that (minus the voice part) with the iphone and g1 now with an fm transmitter and orb or something like that on the phone

Yeah, I can do that today with my windows mobile phone too. But the interface is not suitable for motoring. The idea is to use something built in to the car (I'm thinking like a retractable DVD screen) to be able to manage the playlist and not kill any pedestrians.

And also, my ideal vision for wireless devices is that they needn't be touched to be effective. So if the phone is in a pocket/purse/briefcast etc. while driving, everything still is easy to use- answer a call, play a song, etc. So a bluetooth car deck that facilitates phone calls and music would fit the bill.

Now that I have money again I have been trying to think of a bitchin gadget that is fuckin sweet to purchase.

I mean not something really expensive just something cool that I don't need and might not even use. But it would be cool to have.

I don't have an Itoucher but I don't think I even want one. Maybe someone will buy me one. I need something revolutionary.

Whatever that thing is a few posts up looks cool enough to buy without reason.
