Martha Stewart was on my flight to Beijing. She was in first class of course. Took off her shoes and wandered barefoot all the way to the back galley. Stewardess thought that was gross.

Stood behind her at the customs checkpoint in Beijing. She had a small entourage, including a Chinese guy to handle her bags.

Had a good one a couple months ago. I was with my girlfriend at the Gramercy Park Hotel here in NY. Around 4 PM, we walked into the bar and I saw Elisabeth Moss (Peggy Olsen from Mad Men) eating with some guy. I whispered to my gf that it was Peggy and that's when we realized that "some guy" was Jon Hamm.

Later that night we were back in the same bar, sitting at the table next to theirs. They were long gone at this point but my gf felt up the seat cushion where Jon Hamm had been sitting.

You can get decent pizza in Shanghai, the rest is predictably gruesome in China.

In Japan, they do a lot of weird stuff - gummie bear pizzas, etc - but they can imitate anything. I had one "ok" pizza on a harbor cruise, but I had wonderful Italian bread in a Japanese Wegmans-styled grocery. So I bet you can get good pie in the big cities - but I did not try.

dang, which of out analysts is on this road trip? I really think I saw Jamie today in AC, just off the boardwalk walking towards the Claridge. Carrying a bag of groceries in his left hand with a couple white towels draped over his left shoulder. The dude even noticed me double take at him and then quickly looked away.

Don't see many folks wearing Rutgers gear out here. Saw a table full out at a nice restaurant down by the water on Tuesday. I talked to one of them for a few minutes. Turned out he's J. J. .jennings. Good guy.

I went to see "Into the Woods" in Prague and there was a famous person there. Unfortunately, I am really crappy with names and I can't remember his name. I heard him introduce himself as Bill and I know he's played some bad guys, though I can't recall a particular character (I know, I'm worthless). He was talking about something he just made, sounded like he was the director or producer. I'm going to search and see if I can find who he is. Any help is appreciated.

well that didn't take long. It was Bill Fichtner. Seemed like a down to earth guy. Chewed his gum with his mouth open and forgot that he was introduced to some woman 5 minutes earlier. Also demanded that his wife give him the change from the tickets she bought. He said, "I gave you like 3 grand just a few minutes ago." 3 grand in czech currency is about $150. He had two kids with him, so her change couldn't have been more than $25. Cheap bastard.

My wife said Bill Murray too. If it was Bill Murray, I would have thrown myself at his feet and begged to tag along with him for the evening.

It was the musical version, not the movie. I think the tix were about 650, leaving her with about 400, which is worth about $20. I got to see the winner of the czech version of American Idol play the wicked witch. She was meh.
