I meant to respond to this earlier, download locast on your streaming device. It offers the local channels like 3, 6, 10 etc for free. So it will let you get the ABC games

Thank you for this! I will check it out

Fun day at Oaklawn. Came out ahead on wagering, though didn't qite cover the pizza, beer, and parking. Won 23.60 on a $2 across the board bet, and then bet $5 2 to win and $1 2-5 box exacta and won $43.

Oaklawn really is a fun place--pretty high quality horses, and Rocky's, right across the street has very good deep dish pizza. (Hot Springs of course was a hang out for Chicago mafia in the day.)

Cheers. 'Member when this board was a lot younger and we were mostly degenerate, shiftless 20 somethings with burgeoning alcohol issues. Kinda miss the late night drunk at shit posting days sometimes.

I am upset this morning!

For Valentine's Day I ordered a cartoon drawing of my girlfriend, our two cats, and me. The print said it was delivered the Saturday before Valentine's day via USPS. It was not at my house. I asked my neighbor and reached out to the artist/sender. She eventually agreed to send another, which she mailed the following Thursday. I got home late that same night and the first print had arrived. However, it was wrinkled and damaged. Not frameable at all. Mind you this cost $65. When I got home the next day (Friday) the second print had come. Same thing. I emailed her to let her know what had happened.

She said it is not her fault. That there must be something wrong with my mailman. She has mailed them all over the country and had no problem. The thing is though, the print is printed on some heavier cardstock and simply put in a manilla envelope. Not protected in anyway. It is *insane* to think that is the right way to ship a print. To her credit she did stamp "Do Not Bend" on it a bunch.

He solution was to send me a PDF and make me pay to print it myself because "she already sent two and the ink is expensive." Whatever. Horrible customer service but fine.

Turns out I can't upload a pdf to the multiple photo print sites I have used. They need a JPEG. I asked her to send me one early last week. I hadn't heard from here so I sent the below email--

Can you please send a JPEG or refund me my money? I respect that you should get paid for your work and time. I was more than willing to pay. But two damaged prints and now I have to print it myself, which I still have been unable to do, has been a bit much. Every video on YouTube on how to package prints-- none of them say just slide it in a manilla envelope. They all have a plastic sleeve to protect from rain and a stiff cardboard backing to protect from wrinkles and folds. I hope in the future you consider shipping prints this way. This whole process has been increasingly frustrating.

That was Saturday morning. She replied this morning in two separate emails.

If you scroll up in our email feed, you will see that you've had access all along to a high res JPG that I originally sent you back in the beginning.

Thanks and take care,

If, however, you have issues downloading that one or can't find it. Here is another on again.

I have been kind to you, immediately mailed you another print when your carrier misplaced it at my own expense (including ink and paper), shared your voiced frustrations and repeatedly apologized despite it NOT being my fault considering you are alone with this issue out of nearly 30 mailed prints. Clearly there is an issue with your carrier and I'm sorry for your frustration but I do not stand for being disrespected.

Maybe I am being insane here but I paid her. Not the other way around. She has taken zero responsibility for not protecting the print before mailing it which seems like common sense to me. I truly did watch some videos and every one shows things to do to protect mailed prints, none of which she did.

Blah.

Leave her a bad etsy or whatever review. Her tone will probably change.

Be fair in it but an honest assessment should go far. If I was shopping around and read 'its good work but she ships them in an envelope and mine arrived destroyed twice' then I'd definitely think twice about ordering from her.
