Between the infrequency of rain and the location of the drainage pipe in my apartment I have a semi-heart attack every time it rains.

Also, the six month mark must be the crave food from back East stage... I really want a pork roll egg and cheese sandwich now

It's not great, but the closest I've come to a pork roll substitute out here is Spam, believe it or not. However, you can have pork roll shipped (though it's of course not cheap) and apparently it's been spotted in Houston so maybe other fancy big city supermarkets carry it. The real problem of course is as far as I know you have to make it yourself, and the whatever roll you use is likely to be sub-par.

I'm tired of everyday being some made-up bullshit day. Maybe we can make that a day.

Best bet is go the gourmet meat and cheese section at fry’s supermarket. They carry Taylor. Pick up one of their kaiser rolls from the bakery, add egg and cheese and call it the day.

If you’re looking for tastykakes. They also carry them at fry’s. Unfortunately they don’t carry the krimpets or kandykakes. Like my two favorite. If you do head up to flagstaff, make sure you hit up the Walmart on woodlands ave, they occasionally get them.

Watching this Miracle on Ice thing on ESPN. Fourteen was the perfect age for this to happen. If I recall, the game wasn't broadcast live on TV, but on tape delay. I might not have that right.

You are correct. It was the Russki's fault.
Prior to the game, ABC requested that it be rescheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time so that it could be broadcast live in primetime hours. However, the IIHF declined the request after the Soviets complained that it would cause the game to air at 4 a.m. Moscow Time, as opposed to 1 a.m. Moscow Time. As a result, ABC decided not to broadcast the game live for the U.S. audience and instead tape delayed it for broadcast during its primetime block of Olympics coverage.[20] Before the game aired, ABC's Olympics host Jim McKay openly stated that the game had already occurred but that they had promised not to spoil its results. In order to accommodate coverage of the men's slalom competition, portions of the game were also edited for time.[21] To this day, some who watched the game on television still believe that it was live.[22]
Found Tandykakes and krimpets on my last 2 visits to Walmart here in NC. Also found Krimpets at Dollar Tree once! Publix carries pork roll but I avoid it due to cost and concern whether it sells quickly enough. Easy enough to make your own tandykakes as well.

It's easier when you're withing driving distance. During visits to PA I just vacuum pack and freeze the items I can't get here. Fresh and smoked sausage along with real bacon are the top items.
