At Biden’s expense. Looks like he is getting smoked.

For whom? I can't keep track of who people's favorites are here any better than I can in the soccer thread.

Biden waited to long to go to Iowa. His only hope may be that someone else takes NH or NV, because Sanders winning the first 3 will make it hard regardless of how strong Biden is in South Carolina.

Hate to give credit to Republicans, but they've got 82% of their vote in and are well into drinking time.

Not into 3 hours of entrance polls and live shots of crowds in high school gyms?

The first three states have 100 delegates combined. 1400 on Super Tuesday. It’s all meaningless (especially with 2 of the 3 being caucuses) until then

I agree you can’t win the nomination in the first four contests, but the time involved allows narratives to get created which in my mind means you sure can lose it. Biden is going to come in 4th tonight.

It may not mean the end but nor do I think it is “meaningless.”

MSNBC report: App broken, backup phone reporting a "disaster". Awesome. Great start to the election season.

David Jarman @DavidLJarman
I have moved beyond my previous position that Iowa should not use a caucus and should not go first in the nation, to now believing that Iowa should be entirely disbanded as a state, with the various pieces to be awarded to its neighbors.

Back when Bucky was young, you had to wait for the results to arrive at the State Capital in a satchel on horseback, so this is really nothing new.

This would be so much funnier if the President of the United States and person my party was renominating basically by affirmation wasn't Donald Trump

But this is pretty funny

#hottaek on why Pete's campaign hasn't spoken yet is internally they think they won, and are hoping this gets cleared up in the next hour or two and they can give a real 'victory' speech that will lead all the morning shows

Maybe they're just super confused like everyone else though

According to observers, the "muddled result and response" threatens the future of the Iowa caucuses' first-in-the-nation status, which already have many critics because of the attention paid to the caucuses and its unrepresentative demographic characteristics.

Oh, wait. that's from the 2012 Republican caucus.
