Coney Island and Roma Pizza for starters.

Ran out of shaving cream about a week ago, so haven’t shaved since then. With more of the beard starting to come in, today I noticed an influx of probably a couple dozen gray hairs in the sideburns region. At first I thought I hadn’t thoroughly rinsed the soap off my face in the shower. I am ready to embrace the era of the Silver Fox!

Anyone know a way I can get Alexa to play Sinatra non-stop unattended? Want to set up one in my mom's room. I think Pandora has an all-Sinatra thing, but I believe they make you check in every once in a while to make sure you're still listening. I need something that will just play and play and play and play.

With whatever music service you use, can you just throw all the albums into a playlist and set it to repeat

that's what i'm trying right now. I have a couple hundred sinatra songs up in amazon music. Not sure if it ever times out though. Didn't even need a playlist, just said "Alex play Frank Sinatra".

Anyone know a way I can get Alexa to play Celine Dion non-stop unattended? Want to set up one in Bucky's house. I think Pandora has an all-Celine thing, but I believe they make you check in every once in a while to make sure you're still listening. I need something that will just play and play and play and play. Oh, and only "My Heart Will go On." And at a volume that's just barely audible, so that you can't locate the source and sometimes you'll think it's finally ended but at the first moment of quiet you'll realize it's back, back to stay, and you'll never get it to stop.

can't you just say playlist sinatra on loop?

I say that because I sometimes play ocean sounds at night. If I don't play it on loop it will stop after a hour.

dumb question time: is the "oil life indicator" in your car based on the actual oil amount or just the time since you last changed the oil? It's been three months but my old Civic is saying 60%.

(that's 'oil life' Milty)

it's strictly based on mileage. No sensors or anything that analyze the oil. When the oil is changed you/the mechanic resets the oil life meter, which is calibrated to the manufacturers's recommended interval, like 5K miles or whatever. I figure out how to change mine so it's now set at the max of 10K.

thanks, tried this now. the 'alexa play frank sinatra' i did last evening was stopped this morning. "play frank sinatra on a loop" was recognized with "looping your songs by frank sinatra". hopefully that will go ad infinitum.

aha, my knowledge of the subject is limited to a recent discussion we had over on the escapecity board specific to the hybrids (which limits the model year to 2011 and earlier). So it appears that yes some newer cars have monitoring systems that either take into account engine temp and start/stops etc., or actual oil sampling. but suffice it to say the the 'old civic' is strictly miles based.

i don't think my tesla will have either. STUPID CAR

yeah mine has the system monitoring the factors you mentioned, but, apparently, not an actual sensor for the oil itself. The oil looks low per the dipstick and I can smell some when the engine gets hot, so I think I'm gonna play it safe.

thanks guys

Just curious - how many miles since your last oil change?

3,000

That's why the 60% oil life threw me. I'd be surprised if I could responsibly go 7,000 or so miles on conventional oil in a 2007.
