Given Trump's penchant for projection, his recent comments about dems rigging the election is troubling.

As this Roseanne controversy dominates every news cycle, I do have one question bouncing around in the back of my mind which is why Valerie Jarrett? I don't study Administrations, so I actually really have no idea who she is or why she would be a Target other than her ethnicity and that she was in the administration of what seems to be a racial enemy.

probably because she's a personal friend to the Obamas.

Jarrett was, involved in nearly every decision that Obama made, and was much more than a political adviser. “The president has said she’s his best friend”

Jarrett hired Michelle Obama in 1991 while she was the deputy chief of staff for Chicago mayor Richard Daley.

Also turns out that her family has some notoriety:

Her great-grandfather is believed to be the first African-American graduate of MIT and the country’s first accredited African-American architect.

Her grandfather, was a housing activist who became the first African-American chairman of the Chicago Housing Authority and built much of Chicago’s public housing.

Her mother is a distinguished early childhood education expert with a Chicago street named for her.

-> Me, I am not sure I ever hear of her before yesterday, but certainly she and her family deserve my respect.

What happened to Jill Stein's recount millions?

But the opacity surrounding the expenditure of money—combined with the fact that a good chunk of the spending has come after all efforts to recount the vote were terminated—has fed criticism that Stein was more interested in boosting her political operations than in recounting votes. It’s also drawn the ire of regulators. In a May 7, 2018 letter, the FEC warned Stein campaign treasurer Steven Welzer that he was violating federal law by not accounting for half a year of spending.

Staff who appear to be working on the recount are the some of same who worked on Stein’s presidential campaign. Schwab, director of communications, made $3,840 in September 2017, according to the last available FEC filing. Campaign Manager David Cobb was also on the payroll as of September 2017, taking home a monthly salary of $7,520. Cobb announced the recount effort in a Facebook Live video and, in a subsequent video, identified himself as “Jill Stein’s campaign manager for the recount.” Cobb told The Daily Beast he is “still with the campaign,” but did not elaborate.

In September 2017, Carl Romanelli, a former Green Party candidate for Senate in Pennsylvania, was also paid $2,000 that month, plus $272.50 in travel, for “Recount Organizing Services,” according to the FEC filing. During the campaign, Romanelli worked as a “State Organizer” and “Field Organizer,” per reports filed with the FEC.

@realDonaldTrump

funny how he quotes that interview because the same interview had Gowdy saying he thought the FBI acted appropriately and how he would want them to act when it came to the informant during the campaign

So with Ol'Jeff clearly on the outs, does he trench in and make life bad for Donald? Donald firing him would be insane, especially if Sessions did something like provide an ugly update to the progress of the probe. Sessoins is in a real pickle. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

They have pulled over 1M document from Cohen's phones. Shockingly high number, but I have not see "file" defined. As wild is that only 250 documents have been deemed privileged so far.

"For a person who claims to be a lawyer, the minuscule amount of allegedly privileged matter is surprising, and what it tells us is that Cohen wasn't acting as a lawyer very often, he was doing something else." - Roland Riopelle, a partner at Sercarz & Riopelle who was formerly a federal prosecutor with the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York

I'm not a fan of Stein and suspect she was in it to take votes from Hillary, but why is it bad her campaign officials were paid? Is she no longer a potential candidate? It doesn't look like a lot of money. I imagine there's some rule I don't know about or something, but this doesn't seem out of the ordinary to me.

So Ukraine faked the death of a Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko, who is a Putin-critic, to foil a plot to kill him. The Ukrainian police found that a Russian security service paid a Ukraine man $40,000 to kill the journalist.

Donald Trump wrote:Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that “ABC does not tolerate comments like those” made by Roseanne Barr. Gee, he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC. Maybe I just didn’t get the call?
