This is not something he should be derided for, fuck hypocrisy, if he goes in with some semblance of knowing how to run the State Department then thank God. Hopefully he can undo some of the structural damage that Tillerson wrought.

While standard, you likely have never had a scenario where the person asking the question has tried to jail and/or indicated that the predecessor should be executed (treason). FFS, we all want anyone who goes to State to try to do a good and right job, especially after the internal hit job that has happened already, and the ever increasing stakes.

That is curious. He was Count Chocula's law partner. Why recuse? That would be after his authorizing the Home/Office/Hotel Room (that last one seems weird to me, but I do not know the scenario) based on the law? Representing whomever in the past? Something with Ghouliani? It is an interesting twist.
