Thanks. No wonder it was so hard to tell...I'm like a quarter mile from the line. In the 5th now.

that will be a fun primary!

basically 3 months and still not sure who all the candidates will be. vote for a good one because he or she will assuredly win in november.
Lot of Candidates. I assume Muroff is the favorite right now with Leach all but gone. Muroff is a little chalky but at least he's for a $15 minimum wage, expanded EITC, guaranteed family/sick leave, and banning assault weapons.

Okay, so I was in 15 and am now in 9... Who's representing new PA-9?

A Republican

Remarkably unhelpful. It appears to be Barletta according to Dave Wasserman's twitter where he's run though them district by district for PVI values.

so I looked at where candidates live and figured out the PA09 candidates:

D: Laura Quick (I know her, shes for single-payer, $15 wage, etc), Chip Collica, Mike Marsicano (lost in 2016 to Barletta, corrupt mayor of Hazelton in the 90s)
R: Scott Uehlinger (big Trumpie, talking head and probably the leader of the race), Sean Donahue (white nationalist with multiple run-ins with the law!), and Dan David (business guy that is one-note about disliking Chinese business)

Who knew this could happen? Somehting in the high 90th percentile seems right if you limit the population to people paying attention/not watching Fox News.

I am not big on rooting for people to fail but it is going to be enjoyable watching Kushner being led away in handcuffs.

how much you wanna bet this is Stephen Miller? :
One White House official said the shooting forced the White House to focus on critical and serious issues — like consoling the victims and trying to heal the nation — rather than getting bogged down in what they view as more trivial West Wing drama.

“For everyone, it was a distraction or a reprieve,” said the White House official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to reflect internal conversations. “A lot of people here felt like it was a reprieve from seven or eight days of just getting pummeled.”

The official likened the brief political calm to the aftermath of the October shooting in Las Vegas that left 58 dead and hundreds more injured. That tragedy united White House aides and the country in their shared mourning for the victims and their families.

“But as we all know, sadly, when the coverage dies down a little bit, we’ll be back through the chaos,” the official said

it wasn't in the lobby, it was on the 24th floor of his tower in a hallway and it wasn't 'two minutes' ; pretty smart that he just lies there to get it out

her requests to release the tape have gone unanswered

Trump's big kiss in his big year of 2006 is not making much waves aside from his counter tweet. She is running for office, so that will be the attack vector. It is simply amazing that he was a total freak/predator back in aught-six.

Trump Care in motion.

Here is the biggest hole that he is authorizing

"In 2008, one of the important policy motivators for what ultimately became the ACA was protecting people from so-called mini-med plans that provided coverage in name only," says Rodney Whitlock, a health care consultant with ML Strategies who worked as a Republican staffer on the Senate Finance Committee when the Affordable Care Act was written. "But in a world without the individual mandate, short-term health plans make perfect sense. Now people who have no utilization can go out and buy coverage with no benefits."

Short-term plans don't have to include the minimum essential health benefits — such as mental health care or prescription coverage — that have to be included in an ACA-compliant policy. And insurance companies can refuse to offer coverage to someone with a pre-existing medical condition, or charge people more money if they're likely to need more care.

This makes no sense. Plans that are plans in name only and provide no benefit. The folks who jump off will be healthier, but it will also be composed of a lot of people who are jumping to the promise of low cost health insurance that they were promised. Essentially, I think that there will be a slew of people basically jumping off a cliff due to a combination of a false promise/promise fulfilled and little actual knowledge of that they are getting based on false hope. Also, there is that often enough car accident, ugliness like cancer, surprise that mental illness exists, or whatever that will crop up and blow these folks out of the water financially.

Those with good plans will pay a boatload, and "good" starts to become definitional. Even in the employer market place cheap plans will have some allure.

In the end, this should be bad, but the effects might be behind enough that there is as escape for Trump & Friends until after the mid-terms.

I the NPR story about Rachel Cooks, there was this gam (calm down Pac, I think it is sadly funny):

On Sunday, as Trump's motorcade drove him to the Trump International Golf Club for dinner with his family, it passed the Ultra Gentleman's Club near Palm Beach International Airport, which was advertising an event: "Stormy Daniels Making America Horny Again."

So we're talking something like the various dental and vision plans sometimes advertised on TV?

“@Thomas1774Paine. Outspoken Trump-Hating School Shooting Survivor is Son of FBI Agent; MSM Helps Prop Up Incompetent Bureau,” tweeted a user called Thomas Paine, who added a link to a video on the fringe website True Pundit showing Hogg speaking in favor of stricter gun control.

Taniel @Taniel
New Dem pick-up in Trump country: Belcher (D) wins KY's #HD49 by 37%! via @adambeam

HD49 voted Trump 72%-23%, so a huge net swing of 86% compared to that. Yes, Belcher is a former Rep who barely lost re-election in 2016. Still, Dems get a net swing of 38% even compared to that.
