THE RATIO spares no one, least of all Chris Cillizza, the worst pundit to ever pundit

The three senators furthest out toward replies corner are Pat Toomey, Republican of Pennsylvania; Mitch McConnell, Republican of Kentucky; and Cory Gardner, Republican of Colorado. Toomey and McConnell are tied for first in the race to take home the dubious prize of Most Replied To: 44 percent of the actions taken in response to their tweets are replies.5 (By way of comparison, about 12 percent of the reactions to Trump’s tweets are replies.) The two big retweet winners are Utah Republican Mike Lee and Oklahoma Republican James Inhofe. And while these outliers are all members of the GOP, they are still part of a larger trend: Twitter’s gravity generally appears to pull the Republicans toward the replies corner, while the Democrats are more firmly clustered along the retweet-like axis.

You go out to the site and there are two points of contact that have email addresses of ldwwgroup.com, which turns out to be a marketing firm. I don't have time to dig around, but clearly this is super sketchy.

“The fact that there are so many utilities with experience in this and a huge track record of helping each other out, it is at least odd why [the utility] would go to Whitefish,” said Susan F. Tierney, a former senior official at the Energy Department and state regulatory agencies. “I’m scratching my head wondering how it all adds up.”

Whitefish Energy is based in Whitefish, Mont., the home town of Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke. Its chief executive, Andy Techmanski, and Zinke acknowledge knowing one another — but only, Zinke’s office said in an email, because Whitefish is a small town where “everybody knows everybody.” One of Zinke’s sons “joined a friend who worked a summer job” at one of Techmanski’s construction sites, the email said. Whitefish said he worked as a “flagger.”

Zinke’s office said he had no role in Whitefish securing the contract for work in Puerto Rico. Techmanski also said Zinke was not involved.

NBC Montana quoted Techmanski in a report Oct. 1 as saying he had asked Zinke for help in getting personnel and equipment to the territory. Chiames, the Whitefish spokesman, confirmed that “Once the company got the go-ahead from PREPA on September 26 to begin work, company executives did reach out to contacts in case they could help expedite getting qualified linesmen to the island.”

everything they accused the Clintons of doing they decide to do in a more brazen manner

FBI better already be looking into this.

this is the greatest. company had 2 full-time employees when they got the contract

wonder how many points Zinke is getting on the back end

Under the contract, the hourly rate was set at $330 for a site supervisor, and at $227.88 for a “journeyman lineman.” The cost for subcontractors, which make up the bulk of Whitefish’s workforce, is $462 per hour for a supervisor and $319.04 for a lineman. Whitefish also charges nightly accommodation fees of $332 per worker and almost $80 per day for food.

In a pure coincidence, these also happen to be mid-tier criminal defense rates

Also pal who works in Mitch's leadership office took me to the Capitol balcony. Her desk is right outside his office door. Felt morally weird going into it but glad I did. Was pretty wild to be in that room and then looking down the mall from where so many have stood.

Yah! I will write up some recaps. Basically we are just asking for the promised money at this point. Bill passed last fall. USA has already committed 50 million to the Global Fund to End modern Slavery. UK just gave 25 mil last week or so. So it's moving.

This is Corkers vision in large part. Basically think of it as the global fund to fight AIDS. The hope is for it to have the same impact.

Oh Zinke, I thought that only your SOFA was unseemly. What have you done? Even The former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli has been critic, and I find him completely repugnant. While nothing indicates that Zinke violated the law or received any direct compensation from his association with Mackenzie, or the Virgin Islands PAC, this activity is unusual. It adds to questions about SOFA PAC, which operated in a similar way.

These "scam PACs" roll up small donations into an amount of funding that disappears into overhead and consultants. With out them the likes of Fox News, CNN, and other programs with graying viewers will need to find new revenue sources.
