A 9 - 10 year run of hate driven presidential bids could doom the country, it is going to be bad enough in trying to recover all the credibility we have lost in the first 7 months of this administration much less where we end up.
She will be 72 for the next cycle, and I would like to see a different demographic returned to the white house. Aside from his rage fueled core that sustains him, you have to think that if Trump actually ever does the job that it will eat him alive. Warren would most certainly do the job, which would diminish her chances for successive terms as that would roll her to 80 in the end. Given where I worry we will end up, the country is going to need 8+ years to climb out of the Trump crater. There is a case to be made for age bias in this role.
I would completely want her involved in a next administration, just not as the candidate.
in what world is elizabeth warren the negative idea of 'identity politics'? She literally became a politician because her ideas were so powerful that the GOP blocked her from running the CFPB. She is all about liberal economic fairness ideas and theory. She is the epitome of an all idea candidate, and she can explain those ideas in a plain-spoken manner that people can understand. And yes, she's a woman and she's a Democrat and a liberal that believes in equality for all. If you're going to be my party's nominee in 2020 you damn well better believe in equality and that 'default' identity is not straight white male.
identity politics is trump and his supremes.
edit: HRC losing does not mean that we shouldn't nominate a woman. She failed. Oh well. We move on.
if you're afraid get a dog.

I don't give a #$!&@ about her gender, but if you think that any of the Trump voters would support Warren, then I think you are completely deluded. As "the GOP blocked her from running the CFPB", which she would have been great at, you are looking at someone who would be savaged just like Boogiewoman Nancy Pelosi is continuously. Identity politics is connected, mostly, to afraid white folks and their family tree, not just a handful of crackpot battle flag lovers. That crack in the political system seems damn close to challenger deep. I see her as a non-starter no matter how much she can get Bernie type love.
BTW, get off my dick with the fearful #$!&@.
