Marsha Blackburn is a solid WOW. WRT Flake, she said the Prez is fine, but her friend Flake who does not go home to his district is to blame. No one in her district is concerned about any of this nuthin burger (adlibbing the end).

So... it wasn't just the Russians that hacked (or came close to hacking) the Clinton campaign.

https://www.cyberscoop.com/hillary-clinton-north-korea-phishing-spoofing-2016-presidential-campaign/

(And before anyone questions the source, this is a prominent site within the IT industry, particularly its public-sector-focused component StateScoop.)

As part of a cyber-espionage operation against Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, North Korean hackers compromised email accounts belonging to individuals involved with an East Asia-focused foreign policy advisory group, multiple people familiar with the incident told CyberScoop.

The North Koreans sought to acquire policy documents and other relevant information that may have affected the regime if Clinton were to become president, the sources said. The advisory group’s job was to craft such policies.

The hackers were able to break into the email accounts of employees of at least one prominent D.C.-based think tank; some of which were involved with the East Asia foreign policy advisory group. These individuals occasionally communicated with staff of the Democratic candidate’s official Hillary for America (HFA) campaign, based on an incident response report obtained by CyberScoop and authored by security experts who worked for the presidential campaign.

The attackers used their access to apparently draft convincing spearphishing emails that were then sent to other associates of the campaign. In addition, the North Korean hackers sent phishing emails from random email accounts which were made to look as if they had come from an authentic and familiar address used by one campaign official.

Saw her on F&F this morning. She is particularly unimpressive as an extemporaneous speaker.

I'm conflicted, I trust Richmond more than most here, but then again, this Pac post has me concerned.

there's a group of around 40 republicans and democrats in the house that are working on a bipartisan fix
but unless Ryan forgoes the "majority of majority" bullshit, it will never come up for a vote

President Donald Trump told reporters at his second full Cabinet meeting that his administration will be able to take care of North Korea but offered no specifics about what he plans to do. "We will handle North Korea. We are gonna be able to handle them. It will be handled. We handle everything," Trump said after a reporter asked him about his strategy.

Well, I feel better now.

Well, Sarah in the pink dress did say something like, 'hey, sure first strike is on the table', so that is when I started to get concerned. Dumpsterfire going with handle the handle is just more banana patch chest pounding from our favorite neanderthal with a general fetish. Too bad he thinks that the generals want war, and that he never saw The Princess Bride.

I had the same reaction. He'll handle it just like healthvare, the wall, infrastructure, the travel ban, the WH staff, etc., etc. Time to restock those old fallout shelters from the 60's.

Hey, its American Dream Week! Lets get dreaming.

Donald and Ivankna highlighted as hardscrabble startup entrepreneurs. I might believe hard scrabble because spelling is, well, hard, but most bsinesses don't start with millions.

Ken Cuccinelli, who makes my skin crawl, was on CNN commentating and he was actually sane and reasonable sounding taking good position around the troubles at 1600. What a week, and happy Tuesday.

Two sources close to President Donald Trump said Scaramucci's profane remarks last week to The New Yorker magazine "disgusted" and "offended" some close to the president, including Melania Trump, and — crucially — Ivanka Trump, who had initially advocated for Scaramucci's hiring.

Hypocrisy is not a big enough word for this.

He's a really smart dude. Can't stand his politics, but he's a likable, intelligent guy and will have a reasonable discussion with you, unlike far too many of his brethren. He's also got an unnatural fascination with McDonald's Sweet Tea and is an alum of my (Catholic) high school's rival.

More importantly, he's actually run an administration unlike most talking heads that you see on cable news. And did moderately well at it, in no small part due to the herculean efforts of his Chief Deputy AG (second-in-command at the VA OAG).
